Looking for the place on the hard disk where the images used by the Mac OS X screensaver are stored, so that they can be used as desktop pictures or for other purposes? These can be found by opening the /System/Library/ScreenSavers/ folder on the Mac OS X startup disk, control-clicking on one of the packages there, and choosing Show Package Contents from the menu which appears. From here, open the Contents folder, followed by the Resources one, and then look at the pictures inside until the desired picture is found. Some of the screensavers don't use this format, and pictures cannot be retrieved from them.
